March 20, 2018 - Breakfast With Baxter Black

To those who may be new to the monthly Chamber activities, every third Tuesday is a networking breakfast that is hosted by one of the businesses in Benson.  For a nominal fee you receive a great breakfast, need to know information and a guest speaker. This month's host was Judy Lee of the Benson Historical Museum.

Our guest speaker was Cowboy Poet, Baxter Black.  His wit is as sharp as ever and it was truly an honor to share the morning with him.  He spoke of his love for Benson and what caused him to move here.  He chose Benson over all of the  places that beckoned him to settle elsewhere.  In my words, he had found his sweet spot. The place that he knew was home.  He found the place that brought him peace.  For all of the things that make living in a small town so beautiful, he encouraged us to cherish it and to reach out to one another and to work together.  Words that were like music to my soul.

Benson Ambassadors Helping You to Make Your Business Flourish

The Chamber started the new year off with a bang! We are proud to announce the induction of our first Ambassadors. Andrea Tuzzolino, Calvin Wood, JoAnne Wood, Sharon Quarles (Ambassador Chair) and Lydia Wilson.

The Ambassadors are here to interact with the business owners, see how they are fairing and how the Chamber may be of assistance to them.

We've noticed many of our business owners are not taking full advantage of their membership, i.e create their Chamber online presence and/or creating coupons to draw in customers. The Ambassadors are here to show you what you might be missing. Having a Grand Opening or re-opening? Let the Ambassadors know, we will help you gain recognition.

Thank you to our many sponsors.  Without their support many of our events would not be possible.
Please support those businesses that have supported us and the community.
